Punk Rock Saves Lives (PRSL) isn’t just a name. It’s what we do. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built from the DIY spirit of the music we love. We show up where the noise is loudest: concerts, festivals, tours and turn that energy into action.
We’re here to help make change right now. Our mission is simple but fierce:

We swab cheeks and save lives signing people up for the bone marrow registry to fight blood cancers and disorders. Every swab could be a match. Every match could be the one.

We break down barriers to self-care handing out harm reduction supplies like naloxone (Narcan), test strips, earplugs, and emergency contraception because everyone deserves a chance to make it to the next show.

We fight the stigma around mental health sharing resources, creating safe spaces at events, and reminding you: you are not alone.
WHAT WE DO
At Punk Rock Saves Lives, we take the energy, compassion, and DIY spirit of the punk scene and turn it into action that saves lives, right where the music happens.
BONE MARROW REGISTRY
Every 3 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer or disorder like leukemia or lymphoma. For many, a bone marrow transplant is their best — or only — chance at survival.
That’s where you come in.
We work with DKMS to sign people up for the bone marrow registry. All it takes is a simple cheek swab to join. If you’re a match, you could save a life.
HARM REDUCTION
Everyone deserves to make it to the next show.
We break down barriers that keep people from accessing what they need to stay safe and alive.
No stigma. No judgment. Just compassion, community, and the tools to survive.
Harm reduction saves lives. Every Narcan kit, every test strip, every conversation could be the difference.
MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY
The world can feel unbearable sometimes. We’re here to be a flicker of light in that darkness — shouting from the rooftops that you matter, your story matters, and asking for help is punk as hell.
Punk Rock Saves Lives isn’t just about physical safety — it’s about showing up for people’s minds and hearts too.

PUNKSGIVING
Punks Giving was established in August of 2020 as a separate organization with the mission to identify and unite positive resources in the punk and hardcore community for populations in need. One such positive resource that is staple in the scene is Punk Rock Saves Lives. The relationship between Punks Giving and Punk Rock Saves Lives has grown throughout the years, and at the beginning of 2023 Punks Giving officially merged with Punk Rock Saves Lives as a program under their organization.
